History. ORB Management Corporation was founded in 2002 by Tom Wacholz and Kim Barse – two life-long friends and former neighbors. The combination of Tom's knowledge and experience in the industry, Kim's business and marketing background, and their mutual values and life priorities, laid the foundation for the company. Their people, process, customers, community involvement and continued focus on their values and life priorities are what have allowed us to be successful.
Vision. Our vision is to “create lasting facilities and lasting relationships while having a positive impact on people and community”. Our mission is simply to help clients develop and achieve their facility goals through an efficient, professional, and disciplined process. Whether the goals are known or unknown, simple or complex, big or small, new or to improve existing, own or lease, single or multi-tenant, our process and our people will help achieve them in a manner that’s ethical, creative, accountable and cost-effective.
Culture. Our culture is nurturing, challenging, exciting and fun. Our roots are firmly planted in God, family, community and work. We encourage ideas and think creatively, we respect each other, we communicate openly, we listen intently, we’re happy to serve and we work diligently. Process. Our process is all encompassing and follows a series of deliberate steps that are proven to achieve a project’s desired outcome. We nurture an environment in which all project team members hold each other accountable to the project goals for time, cost, quality, creativity, aesthetics and functionality, without compromising the project, themselves or their staff.
$100M. ORB is currently engaged in and has successfully completed projects for a total of over $100 million to date. The projects cover a wide variety of types, sizes and levels of complexity. From corporate campuses and surgical units, to single tenant build-outs and interior office remodels, We help clients spend their time and money wisely. It’s all about assembling the right team of professionals at the right time in the process, and following a well thought out project plan.
Stable. ORB and its owners are successful and financially sound. We are a client of National American Specialty Insurance Company – our clients have never required us to be bonded; however, NASIC will represent our bonding capability. We are insured by Cobb, Strecker, Dunphy & Zimmerman of Minneapolis – construction insurance specialists. We have a successful history with State and Regulatory Agencies, including the State Department of Health. We do not now have nor ever had a civil or criminal judgment or financial default.
